Looking for Pork Chop Recipes

I live in NYC and there is a Cuban restaurant here called Sophies. They make these pork chops that are soooooo good. I've tried over and over to make them but can't seem to get the right flavor. Does anyone know of a good cuban style pork chop recipe. Gracias.Looking for Pork Chop Recipes

Things You鈥檒l Need:


8-10 pound pork shoulder


3 heads of garlic


3 tbl. sea salt


2 tbl. dried oregano


1/2 tsp. cloves


1 tsp. allspice


2 tbl. cumin


3 - 4 bay leaves


3-4 red dried chili peppers


1 tbl. black peppercorns


cast iron roasting pot with cover











Steps....

First peel your garlic. Yes, all three heads of it!

Stab little slits all over the pork with a sharp knife and stuff in the garlic cloves with your fingers.

In an electric spice grinder, grind allspice, cloves, peppercorns and cumin.

Combine salt, ground spices and oregano. Rub dry marinade over pork shoulder.

Place red chili peppers and bay leaves in bottom of roasting pan.

Place pork shoulder in pan, skin side down.


Step

Cover and cook on low heat for about 6 鈥?8 hours or until fork tender.





With two forks, shred the pork apart and serve on crusty rolls slathered with mayonnaise and good mustard. Delicious!
Barbecued Pork Chops





1 can cream of mushroom soup


1/2 cup barbecue sauce


1/2 cup chopped onion


1/2 cup ketchup


1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce





Mix together. Pour over pork chops and bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 375 degrees F.
