Season with your favorite blend of spices and either grill or broil.
I rinse mine off, then I season with Sazon seasoning by Goya and Adobo. Then, I put it on the frying pan with a bit of oil and fry them. I usually stick to alternates like broil, bake, grill.. but I think my pork chops taste best when they're fried.
Bone the chops or cut a pocket in them and then stuff with apple pie filling and bread crumbs.

Very Iowan.
marinate in apple juice, onion powder (or minced onion) and garlic powder (or minced garlic) and then grill
If you're tired of the same old fried pork chops, try jazzing them up with a sauce or spicy seasonings. Substitute pork cutlets in recipes calling for veal, or make your favorite chicken casserole with pork chops.

When buying pork chops, try to find cuts at least 3/4-inch or thicker. Because the meat closest to the bone takes longer to cook, thinner chops tend to overcook and dry out too quickly. Some cookbooks recommend temperatures as high as 180掳, which is fine for fattier cuts of pork, but pork chops will be very dry. Trichinosis is killed at 137掳, so a range 150掳 to 160掳 is perfectly safe, and the chops will still be juicy. An instant-read thermometer is the perfect tool for quickly checking temperature.

Whether you're looking for an easy family-pleasing dish or feel like making something a little more extravagant, you're likely to find the perfect recipe below. Enjoy!

Fill can with water, stock, or white wine to rinse %26amp; add to the pot. Check from time to time as it cooks to make sure you don't need to add more liquid.

When I prepare pork chops, I put two ingredients: Adobo and oregano, the adobo already have black pepper. I put in the pan without oil, and when is done (I made that in low heat , like medium), I then put two or 3 onions , this recipe its very good, My children like over white rice.
Take four pork chops and brown them in a frying pan and add some onions. After they are browned and the onions are clear, add a can of cream of mushroom soup with a soup can of milk. bring to a boil and then lower the temp to low and simmer for around 20 minutes. The dish is great over rice.

I brown the chops in a non-stick fry pan. Then, transfer them to the slow cooker. Add a chopped potato or two, chopped veggies (carrots, turnip, onions, celery, etc.) and corn, peas, chopped green beans, sliced mushrooms, a can of condensed Cream of Mushroom soup and about a cup of water. (*remember to put your ';root'; vegetables on the bottom because they take longer to cook.) Cook on high until everything's tender - I usually prepare in the evening and allow it to cook all night for use the next day.

    PORK IN CIDER

    Serves 2

    INGREDIENTS

    250ml of cider

    1 apple

    1 onion

    2 pork chops or steaks

    METHOD

Pour the cider into a measuring jug. Peel and core the apple, cut it into thick slices and put them into the cider to stop them going brown. Peel the onion and chop it into tiny pieces.

Put the onion in the bottom of an ovenproof dish with a lid. Put the meat on top. Add the cider. Arrange the apple slices on top of the pork. Put the lid on the dish.

Cook in a preheated oven at 150°C, 300°F, gas mark 2 for about 2 hours. Check the liquid level from time to time and top it up if it starts to dry out.

    ADDITIONS %26amp; ALTERNATIVES

Stir 2 heaped teaspoons of gravy granules into the onion and cider left in the dish to make the most delicious gravy.

    TIPS

Any cheap cider (that doesn’t have the word “white” in the name) will do. The long, slow cooking in the alcohol tenderises even the cheapest meat.
This recipe is for 4 port chops. Brown the chops in a little oil. Drain grease if there is a lot. Mix together in a large bowl 1 can of chopped tomatoes (the large can, about 28 ounces or so), 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped green pepper, 1 cup of uncooked rice, 1 cup of water, salt and pepper to taste.

Stir this mixture well, then spoon over the chops. The rice will keep sinking to the bottom but just spoon the rice over the chops too. Cover and cook on low heat for about 45 minutes. If it starts to dry out, add a little water, but just a little to moisten things. This is great served with applesauce.
you can do this with pork, beef or chicken

i like to make a stir fry. i cut the meat into thin strips and the marinate it in a little soy sauce and lemon. even zest the lemon. let that sit for about an hour at least.in the mean time with pork and chicken i use chicken flavor rice a roni. follow the directions. i like to cook the meat then while the rice a roni is cooking. get a skillet really hot and quickly cook the meat even if you have to cook it in batches. for the vegetable i'll use a store bought stir fry mix and maybe add a little fresh broccoli and take out the heavy stems that come in the bag. i also will scramble 2 or 3 eggs. know this is how to do it.

first you to have all ingredients. then slice meat and add marinate

after al least 1 hour start your rice a roni. and get a skillet hot . add just a little oil like 1 table spoon. then cook the meat and set aside.i like to leave the juice in and concentrate it down. then pour it over the meat. wipe out the skillet and add a Tb spoon of oil and stir fry the veggies. scramble s2 to 3 three eggs and cook that. once the rice is done put the meat, eggs and veggies into the rice and mix it all up. i like to add a little soy sauce to mine after i dish it up. i hope you try this its really good.

can of cream *anything (chicken, mushroom, celery, etc.) on top of any dry rubbed then pan seared pork chop is good - either cook them in the method below* for the chicken with rice soup or bake them till done.

*also you can pan sear the chop and then pour on 2 cans of cambells chicken with rice soup, bring to boil then cover and cook till pork chop is done and very tender then....remove cover and cook down the soup till gravy type consistency...served over mashed potatoes - very good

my husband is like that (very picky) - one of his favorite dinners is chicken enchiladas - the man doesn't like sour cream but he does on the sour cream sauce the enchiladas are baked in:

cooked chicken (usually bake or roast 2 hens the day before, we eat one that night and use 1/2 the other bird for this recipe)

    taco seasoning

mix those, fill flour tortillas - add cheese (cheddar, monterey jack, pepper jack - whatever on hand) and sometimes add refried beans - line these in a casserole dish

in bowl mix 1 - 16 oz sour cream %26amp; 1 can cream of chicken (add one small can of chopped green chilis if you like - we dont) - pour this on top of the enchilladas - bake 350 20 minsPork chop recipe?

    Spicy Pork Chops

Spice these pork chops up by adding more chili powder, or perhaps some cayenne to the rub. Remember to grill them hot and fast.

    INGREDIENTS:

    * 4 3/4-inch pork loin chops

    * 1 tablespoon brown sugar

    * 1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

    * 1/4 teaspoon salt

    * 1/4 teaspoon cumin

    * 1/4 teaspoon pepper

    PREPARATION:

Mix dry ingredients together. Thoroughly rub spice mixture over the entire surface of each pork chop. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Preheat grill. Grill for 8 to 10 minutes over a medium fire.

Turn once. About 8 grams of fat for each chop.
My grandma made pork chops once that were excellent. All she did was pour a jar of mustard based BBQ sauce on them (it's yellow) and cooked them in the oven for like 20-30 minutes. I think the brand was Maurice's BBQ Sauce.

This website has a picture of it:

sprinkle salt and pepper on it....get some garlic then use a knife to cut a few holes to stuff the garlic in...then stuff some rosemary in the pork chop, then put it in the oven.... my dad used to do this..hes been a chef for 16 years...try it, its really good..!!
Used book stores have ';The I Hate to Cook Book'; by Peg Bracken. She has a great one for pork chops and escalloped potatoes, a casserole. Plus others, of course. With laughs, no less.
I sometimes just stick the pork chops in a crockpot and add cream of chicken soup and cook for about 8 hours on low. Really easy and ready after coming home from work.
I just broil them. Spread them out on the broiling pan, sprinkle medium-heavy with garlic salt, turn over and sprinkle again, then broil for 20 minutes. Simple, easy, and brings 'em back for more.

Really Good Pork Chop Recipe You Have Tried?

anyone have a pork chop recipe that..... you have tried and is really good?

    STUFFED PORK CHOPS

I get very thick boneless pork chops and cut a pocket in the side of each. Make some Stovetop Stuffing (per package) and stuff it into the pork chops. Put a thin layer of Lawry's Marinade (I like Baja Chipolte, mesquite or hickory) in a dish; then the pork chops, and cover with more marinade. Cover with foil and bake at 375 about 40-45 min. Uncover and bake another 10-15 min ...... You can also stuff them with feta cheese %26amp; spinach; use Greek Salad dressing thenReally Good Pork Chop Recipe You Have Tried?
Cook 2 pork chop with the following: 1 red bell pepper cut into 1 inch pieces, 1/2 onion chopped into medium to small pieces, and 1 apple sliced. Cook the chops in a tiny bit of oil, brown on one side and turn, add the onions, pepper, and apples. Cook until chops are done and the other ingredients are crisp tender. Serve with rice.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>

The next recipe is for as many chops as you want to make. Salt and pepper both sides of the chops, place in a baking dish. Top EACH chop with the following

    1 tbsp brown sugar

    1 tbsp ketchup

    1 slice onion

    1 slice lemon

Bake at 350 for about 30-45 min depending on how many chops, and how thick they are. This dish creates just a tiny bit of a nice sweet tangy sauce. You can simmer an extra serving or 2 the topping ingredients on the stove top with a little water if you would like. I serve this dish over rice also. Different sounding but very good!!!

I have 2 really good ones for you, enjoy! You don't have to use boneless. The original recipe was for regular. I just use it because it's easier to eat for my kids.

    Cajun Fried Chicken or Pork

4-5 boneless chicken breasts, boneless pork chops

1 cup of self-rising flour, unsifted

    1 tsp garlic salt

    1 tsp cayenne pepper

    1tbs Dijon mustard

    1/3 cup Tabasco

    录 cup water

    1 鈥?1 陆 cups oil, for frying

Combine cayenne pepper, mustard, Tabasco, and water in plastic container or gallon size zip lock bag. If you pierce chicken or pork chops with a fork first it will be a lot spicier (don鈥檛 do this unless you like it HOT!). Place chicken or pork chops in marinade, turning to coat well. Marinate for no more than 1 hour, turning frequently.

Combine self-rising flour and garlic salt in a plastic bag or container. Add chicken to coat, one at a time is best. I use tongs so my hands don鈥檛 get messy.

Heat vegetable oil in large skillet on medium high heat.

Fry chicken pieces, turning once, for about 15-20 minutes total. Remove from pan immediately and keep warm. If you use regular pieces of chicken, with bone in, cook for at least 30-45 minutes, or until done.

    Serving Suggestions:

Garlic flavored pasta or garlic mashed potatoes and green beans or broccoli.

    Moms Accidental Teriyaki Pork Chops

This dish can be made more or less sweet according to taste. It is just as good without the mushrooms.

1 - (10 陆 oz) can white sauce or package white sauce made according to directions

In large skillet brown pork chops in 2 tablespoons melted butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil. Remove chops from pan. Add remaining butter and oil to pan drippings. I've made these a few times. When you broil them, the brown sugar melts, and cracks when you cut into them. Amazing good..

Personally, i LOVE pork chops in Lawry's, Caribbean Jerk sauce... its cheap and if you marinade that for most of the day, its amazingly flavorful.

Pork Chops with Toasted Spice Rub and Apple Dressing

    Prep Time: 15 minutes

    Cook Time: 40 minutes

    Yield: 4 servings

    4 (12-ounce) center-cut pork chops

    salt

2 tablespoons Toasted Spice Rub, recipe follows

    2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

    1/3 cup dry white wine

1/2 cup Honey Roasted Apple Sauce, recipe follows

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and toasted spice rub.

Heat the oil in an ovenproof skillet over medium heat and sear the pork chops until golden brown, about 4 minutes on 1side and 1 minute on the other side. Place pork chops on baking sheet. Remove excess oil from skillet.

Bake the chops until just cooked through, about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove to a serving platter.

Over medium heat, add the wine to the skillet, stir, and reduce to 1 to 2 tablespoons; add the apple sauce and bring to a simmer. Spoon over each chop.

    Toasted Spice Rub

    1/4 cup fennel seeds

    1 tablespoon coriander seeds

    1 tablespoon peppercorns

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

    1/4 cup chili powder

    2 tablespoons salt

    2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Toast the fennel seeds, coriander seeds, and peppercorns in a small, heavy pan over medium heat. When the fennel begins to turn light brown, add the red pepper flakes, and toss several times. Immediately turn the spice mixture out onto a plate to cool.

Put in a blender with the chili powder, salt, and cinnamon and blend until the spices are evenly ground. If you have a small spice mill or a coffee grinder dedicated to grinding spices, grind only the fennel, coriander, pepper, and chili flakes. Pour into a bowl and toss with the remaining ingredients.

Keep the spice mix in a glass jar in a cool, dry place, or freeze.

    Yield: 1 cup

    Honey Roasted Apple Sauce:

    12 apples

    2 tablespoons butter

    2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1/3 cup honey

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Peel the apples with a vegetable peeler, remove the core and cut into 1-inch chunks, place in a large bowl. Heat a large skillet or roasting pan over medium-high heat. Add the butter. When the butter begins to brown, add lemon juice, then add the apples and salt. Cook until the apples just begin to color, about 4 minutes. Stir in the honey. Roast the apples in the oven until soft and lightly caramelized, about 12 minutes. Fork mash for a chunky version or puree in food processor for a smoother sauce.

Serve warm, room temperature or cold. Yield: 8 servings

Hope this is good for you!!!
Not sure how ';Exciting'; you are looking for. Here are a couple to make it different and oh so good.

First is a simple raisin sauce using a small box of raisins, a tsp of vinegar, and a cup of water. Heat until raisins are plump and sauce thickens, then poor it over the chops and bake them normally.

Second is to smother them in either a quality duck sauce or sweet and sour sauce.

Lastly and my favorite, place the chops in a baking dish, cover with a can of diced tomatoes, chopped onions, and a little garlic powder, then add some italian seasoning and bake until done.

Hickory-Smoked Pork Chops with Braised Greens and Green Onion Rice Pilaf

    For the Greens:

    2 tablespoons olive oil

1/4 pound hot andouille sausage, removed from casing and crumbled

    1 cup sliced yellow onion

    1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 pound collard, mustard, or beet green leaves, or a combination

    2 cups chicken stock

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    For the Rice:

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    1/4 cup small-diced onion

    1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

1 cup long grain white rice

2 cups chicken stock or water

    1 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon white pepper

1/4 cup chopped fresh green onion tops

    For the Pork Chops:

    4 (12-ounce) double-cut pork chops

    2 teaspoons Essence, recipe follows

    2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    Hickory wood chips

    Special Equipment: stovetop smoker

For the Greens: Heat a large, 12-inch saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil to the pan, and once hot, place the sausage in the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until sausage is well browned and most of the fat has rendered from it, about 4 to 5 minutes. Add the onions to the pan and cook, stirring often, for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add all of the greens to the pan and cook, stirring frequently, for about 1 minute. Add the chicken stock and salt and bring the liquid to a boil. Cover the pan and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook until the greens until tender, about 20 minutes. Remove the lid, and raise the heat to medium-high, and continue to cook until most of the liquid has reduced, about 5 minutes. Taste and re-season the greens if necessary.

For the Rice: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Place a 1-quart ovenproof saucepan over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the onions. Sweat the onions, stirring often, until the onions are translucent, about 4 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic to the pan and saute for 30 seconds. Add the rice to the pan and saute, stirring frequently, until the rice is toasted, 4 to 5 minutes. Season the rice with the salt and white pepper. Add the chicken stock to the pan and stir occasionally until the water comes to a boil. Place a lid over the pan and place the saucepan in the oven. Cook for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Remove the lid, and use a fork to stir the green onions into the rice. Serve while hot.

For the Pork Chops: Season the pork chops evenly on both sides with the Essence, salt and pepper. Set a large, 12-inch saute pan over medium-high heat and add the olive oil to the pan. Place the pork chops in the pan and sear for 3 minutes. Turn the pork chops to the other side and sear for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat.

While you are browning the pork chops, prepare a stovetop smoker with hickory wood chips, and place over a medium heat. Leave the lid cracked open as the pan heats on the stove. Place the browned pork chops in the smoker. As the pan begins to smoke, completely shut the lid and allow the pork chops to smoke until an instant read thermometer registers 140 degrees F, 15 to 20 minutes. Allow the pork to rest, uncovered, as you divide the rice and greens among 4 warmed entree plates. Place a pork chop on each plate and serve immediately.

Emeril's ESSENCE Creole Seasoning (also referred to as Bayou Blast):

    2 1/2 tablespoons paprika

    2 tablespoons salt

    2 tablespoons garlic powder

    1 tablespoon black pepper

    1 tablespoon onion powder

    1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

    1 tablespoon dried oregano

    1 tablespoon dried thyme

    Combine all ingredients thoroughly.
I'm not sure how exciting of a recipe this is but here it goes.

I love to use terryaki sauce and a can of dole crushed pineapple drained. Then marinated the chops in this mixture over night. (be sure to shake off excess marinade before putting on the hot grill. Next night I usually throw them on my stove top grill for about 5-6 minutes on each side(depends on thickness of the chops). Serve with some lo mein noodles. This whole meal will take you like 15 minutes to make. Enjoy

Another recipe I love is stuffed chops

I buy the thinly sliced pork steaks which I season with fresh garlic, 1 tsp of cumin, and a tbsp of Italian seasoning, and 2 boxes of chicken stove top stuffing. I make the stuffing and put a layer of it on top of the chop, then add another chop to the top. I stick them in the oven for about 25-min on 375. Serve with a Caesar salad. This whole meal will take you about 25 to 30 minutes. Enjoy!
    Stuffed Pork chops.

make a batch of uncle bens or any brand of wild rice mix. cut pork chops open and stuff mixture in side. Season chops to your taste on outside then bake until done.

    Pork chop recipe please!?

i gots me some chops, on the bone, any suggestions for a recipe?Pork chop recipe please!?
My favorite way to fix chops is either to use shake %26amp; bake or to simply sprinkle them with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder and then broil them as one would a steak.Pork chop recipe please!?
    My family loves this:

season and brown the pork chops on the stove, put in baking dish and bake in the oven until done.

take a can of ready made chili and spread over the pork chops and put back in the oven until heated through, I usually turn the oven down alittle and let them simmer awhile, take them out and top with a ton of shredded cheese put back in to the oven until the cheese melts...omg...this is so good. I served with mashed potatoes and corn....my family liked them so much I made them twice in one week.
Use any recipe that sounds good, but rub in some fenil before you cook them.. fenil brings out the flavor in pork chops.
    pork chops smothered in gravy.......
    PORK CHOPS AND RICE

4 center cut pork chops, bone-in

2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup

    1 can water

    2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

    garlic powder

    Cajun seasoning

    garlic powder, to taste

    1 cup rice

Heat oil on medium heat and brown pork chops.

When brown, drain oil and add both cans of soup. When cans are empty, fill one can with water and pour into pan and stir. If you want more gravy, you can add a little more water. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for about 30-45 minutes. If you simmer longer, the meat will be more tender. Mine fall off the bone!

Adjust seasonings as it cooks. Taste occasionally; add more garlic powder and Tony's to the gravy while it simmers.

Cook 1 cup rice as directed on package. You can use Minute Rice if you prefer.

Serve together and pour gravy over rice.
I've done this recipe w/ pork chops, too, and it was fine. You don't have to pound them, since they have a bone in them.

*You add a little more milk, to make more gravy. I do that most of the time. Sometimes, I even add another half a can of soup with the more milk, too
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, meat tenderizer. Fry them in a little canola oil. While they are frying in a separate pan saute chopped onion and garlic. Let simmer for a minute then serve with Mexican rice or white rice and a salad or what ever you desire!
I like to season them with Cajun spices and I also put tenderizer on them. Bake them in the oven at 300 for 1 hour. They come out very tender.

    Any recipes for pork chops?

I need a recipe thats like a casserole or something, and not with rice. Anything you have though, would help so much!Any recipes for pork chops?
This is not really a cassarole but its still good. Take 4 boneless pork chops and spice them any way you like. I like garlic powder, salt and pepper. Dredge them in flour and place them in a pan with 1/4 inch of oil thats good and hot/ Brown them off. While they are browning, cut up half an onion anyway you like. I generally dice them up. Some days i just do a rough chop. Depends on my mood. When the chops are good and brown remoce the chops and toss the onions into the hot oil and cook for a bit. The kitchen will have a nice oniony/garlic smell. When the onions have cooked for a bit (3-5 minutes) start making a rue with the left over flour. Get it to a light brown and add enough water to make a sorta loose gravy. Add the pork chops and bring to a good boil. Then reduce the heat to a simmer and cover. Simmer for one hour. Serve with mashed taters and corn on the cob. I guarentee, you will be as full as a tick on a moose. My wife and kids love when I do this meal.Any recipes for pork chops?

fry the pork chops and season with creole seasoning, garlic powder, chicken seasoning and onion powder then simmer in stewed tomatoes, mushrooms and onions then top with parmisian cheese.
I like to trim the fat off the chops, then brown for a couple of minutes on each side with some diced onions added to the pan. Add some peeled sliced carrots to the pan , and open a can of whole, peeled, stewed tomatoes (smashing the tomatoes as you add them). Salt and pepper to taste, and simmer covered for a half an hour. Check to see if the pork chops are done (cut into one and make sure the center is no longer pink. Serve with corn, peas, or whatever and boiled potatoes. (I like to mash the potatoes and pour some of the tomato sauce over them.)
This is our favorite.. SOOO easy to make too. Sounds weird, but everyone whos tried it loves it:

*box of your favorite ';Stove Top Dressing'; (i use chicken or pork flavored)

    *butter

    *Can apple pie filling

*pork chops (i usually use thin ones w/o bones, but any are fine)

    *oil/seasoning

Prepare the stove top dressing as is says on box (you just mix package with butter and water and stir)

Put this at bottom of baking pan

Lightly brown pork chops in oil and light seasoning over stove. Usually about 2-3 mins a side.

Place pork chops (3-5) in single layer on top of stuffing.

Take can of apple pie filling and pour over top. Cover with tinfoil and bake at 375 for aprox 45 mins (time varies depending on thickness of pork chops)

They are yummy! Hope you like them!
I like placing them in a baking dish, pour some beer, ketchup, and bbq sauce over them. Cook at 350 for an hour or so. They taste better if you even marinate them in it for a few hours.
I actually follow a recipe VERY similar to Asbratch except I use rib chops with the bone still in it. Meat cooked on the bone tends to have more flavor than boneless, but you can use either it's just a matter of preference. I also season them and dredge them in flour, but them I dip it into beaten eggs and then the flour again. This will give a nice breading on the chops. Other than that, the only difference is that I use chopped mushrooms rather than onions (I'm allergic to onions) and I finish cooking it in the oven rather than the stovetop. Just put the chops in a baking pan and add the mushrooms and gravy when it is ready. Cover it tightly with a double thickness of aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. The chops become very tender and this is so easy to make and very flavorful. It's a bit similar to a schnitzel dish I think, so you can serve it with spaetzle noodles. I usually have it with mashed potatoes (real, not the boxed stuff) or steamed rice. I definitely recommend you try either this version or Asbratch's version.
4-2 lb. pieces of pork tenderloin in the crock pot, 1 can of beer, 2 big sweet onion shaved or sliced thin, then season with your choice of garlic, gran onion, and season salt. Drain and Mix with BBQ sauce after cooking .(4-6 hrs Fork tender.) Cook for another 1 hr. Delicious.

Place the chops in the slow cooker, salt and pepper them, then top them with a can of cream of mushroom soup. Don't add any water -- the gravy will be too thin when done.

We love garlic, so I usually add 3 or 4 chopped garlic cloves to the mushroom soup. Or, you can add extra mushrooms.

The pork chops will be very tender and just about falling apart. Serve with rice, noodles, or potatoes, so you can get all that good gravy..... now, I'm hungry for pork chops......

Stuffed Pork Chops with Beer-Glazed Onions

    Ingredients:

    4 bone-in rib pork chops* (1 1/2-inches thick)

4 slices hickory smoked or peppered bacon

4 ounces Fontina or white Cheddar cheese, grated (1 cup)

    salt and pepper

Beer-glazed Onions, for stuffing (recipe follows)

    Preparation:

Cook bacon in skillet or on griddle over medium high heat until crispy. Drain bacon on paper towels, crumble and add to onion mixture. Stir in cheese, set aside.

Prepare pork chops for stuffing by inserting sharp paring or boning knife through side of each chop until tip touches bone. Carefully cut opening to width of about 1 inch. Swing knife tip through chop to create pocket, being careful not to widen opening. Turn knife and swing blade in opposite direction to make finished pocket as large as possible.

Divide onion mixture among 4 chops (about 1/4 cup stuffing for each). Carefully stuff the mixture into the center of each chop. Season both sides of chops with salt and pepper. Preheat grill to 400 to 450 degrees F. Spray chops lightly with cooking spray, place on hot grill. Cover; cook for 8 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F using an instant-read thermometer. Remove from grill, cover with foil and let rest for 5 minutes.

    Beer-glazed Onions

    Ingredients:

1 medium onion, peeled and chopped (about 1 cup)

    1 tablespoon oil

    1 tablespoon brown sugar

    1/3 cup beer**

    Preparation:

In medium skillet, cook and stir onion in oil until onion is translucent, about 7 minutes. Stir in brown sugar, cook for 2 minutes to caramelize. Stir in beer, simmer for 5 minutes or until there is no liquid. Remove from heat, cool slightly.

*The unbroken eye of meat in a bone-in rib chop makes it an ideal chop for stuffing. The rib bone also acts as a helpful guide when cutting the pocket into the chop.

    **Substitute white wine, if desired.

    Serving Suggestions:

A simple, but flavorful stuffing is a great way to keep chops ultra moist and flavorful while grilling. This stuffing delivers an intense trio of tastes by combining saut茅ed bacon, Fontina cheese and meltingly tender beer-glazed onions.

I usually brown then in a pan and then put them in the oven with cream of mushroom soup and bake for about 2 hrs.... they come out nice and tender.

Or try this website : www.kraftcanada.com

This website is great... it has everything on it... u can just put in a few ingredients and it will find u hundreds of recipes on anything. It even has meals that u can make in under 30 minutes.

    I use it daily.
Skin and slice some potatoes. Enough to cover the bottom of the baking pan your using with a couple of layers. Brown the pork chops on both sides and put them on top of the potatoes. Mix one can (no water) Cream of Mushroom soup and Cream of Celery together with 1/4 cup of milk. Pour over pork chops and potatoes and cook at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Enjoy
I usually brown them in a pan, cover with water and let them simmer for an hour or two and then add saur kraut and let the liquids boil off. Yummy and low cal.
Take a couple of eggs, whip them up in a bowl.

Be sure the bowl's wide enough to dip the chops in.

Take a couple of handfuls of Fritos and mash them up pretty finely.

Dip the chops in the egg, then roll them around in the Fritos breading.

    Fry or bake.

    Yummy!
Take thick cut chops(1';-1 1/2';) and slice into one side, creating a pocket. Insert your favorite stuffing (I like a cornbread stuffing) into the pocket. In a frying pan, brown on both sides on the stovetop, then place in a 350掳 F oven until done. Usually about 20-30 minutes depending on the thickness of the chop and how much stuffing you use.

Deglaze the frying pan with some apple juice, cook down slightly and pour over plated chops. Serve with steamed veggies, etc.
Well if you want easy and tasty I recommend Campbells Supper Bakes Savory Pork Chops with Herb Stuffing. All you need is a skillet your own pork chops, butter and some hot water.

All you have to do is cook the pork chops for about ten minutes or until it is no longer pink. Then mix in the butter, hot water, and stuffing in the same skillet you used to brown the pork chops. Push the stuffing to one side of the skillet, and then place your pork chops next to the stuffing. After that you pour the baking sauce that the box provides for you over the pork chops. Once pork chops are covered with the baking sauce you add the crumb topping over the chops. Now just cover and cook for about another ten minutes or till it's heated through.

It's very good and the sauce is great!!!!
marinate in teriyaki! then cook on the stove-top adding more teriyaki to the pan.... absolutely amazing! i tried this and my family loved it!
